Cut Above Scrappin' is looking for 3 team members for our first ever design team! As a design team member your role will be to help showcase products in our store. Your monthly submissions may be used for our newsletter, featured items, design ideas or classes and will be posted in our gallery. We are looking for creative scrapbook and paper artists. Artists should not be afraid to be creative and try new techniques .

Design Team Responsibilities

If chosen as a new Cut Above Scrappin' (CAS) design team member you will be responsible for:

• Creating innovative and unique scrapbook layouts, and altered art project to display in the Cut Above Scrappin' Gallery once a month. For each project submitted, you must include a materials list and a sketch for the project. (Each DT member must submit 2 layouts, and 1 other altered art project every month.)
• Contributing ideas, challenges, tips or articles for use in our monthly newsletter.
• Creating monthly kits to establish a monthly kit club for Cut Above Scrappin'.
• Promoting Cut Above Scrappin' and including our DT membership and link information in your signature line of all the online communities and galleries you are active in.
• Providing a picture and short bio for our DT member page on our website.
• Crediting Cut Above Scrappin' as the supply sponsor for projects submitted for contests and publication.
• Commiting to a six-month design agreement with CAS.

If chosen as a Cut Above Scrappin' Design Team Member you will be compensated in the following ways:

• You will receive a monthly creativity kit, FREE! You will be provided with enough supplies to create the required layout and projects at the beginning of each month during your DT term - anything you don’t use is yours to keep! Completed projects are yours to keep. Items not found in our store cannot be used for designs unless you have received authorization first.
• You will get credit for all your designs, projects and work submitted to us!
• Your work will be publicized in our newsletter and on our site.
• Your photo and bio will be featured on our DT page of our site.
• You will receive 20% off purchases from our store throughout your duration as a Design Team member and free shipping on orders that are shipped with the monthly creativity kit.
  

Submission Requirements

You may apply for the Cut Above Scrappin' Design team by submitting the following by Midnight Pacific Time January 28, 2007. Submissions may be sent via email to DT@cutabovescrappin.com or submit online through www.scrapsubmit.com.

1.) Send 3 original scrapbook layouts. Pictures should be clear, in .jpg format, no larger than 100kb, and not wider than 800 pixels.

2.) Send one altered art project. Pictures should be clear, in .jpg format, no larger than 100kb, and not wider than 800 pixels.

3.) Send a Scrapbook autobiography with preferred email address, and full contact information.

4.) Provide a short submission (one or two paragraphs) on why you feel you are a prime candidate our design team. Focus on your strengths and include what you will contribute to our team and website. Share your ideas and thoughts for promoting your membership as a DT member and the Cut Above Scrappin' store.

5.) List of current design team memberships and scrapbook communities (message boards) in which you are active. Please include urls and your community usernames. If you have an online gallery please provide the link. Membership on other Design teams is not discouraged.
