Just in time for Easter...

Inspired by the latest edition of All You Magazine, my 12 year old daughter created glitzy Imperial Eggs using metallic spray paint and Prima Say It In Crystals gem stickers.  The hardest part of this project was blowing the egg yolk and whites out of the egg.
Here are the steps she used:
1.  Pierce a small hole in the top of an egg with a sharp pin or needle.  We used a pin with a round plastic tip because you have to push fairly hard to get through the shell.
2.  Pierce a slightly larger hole in the bottom of the same egg by chipping away at the shell.
3.  Break the yolk by pushing the pin through the hole and poking into the egg yolk.
4.  Over a bowl, blow out the center of the egg by blowing through the small hole.  This takes some serious breath so make sure you don't hyperventilate!
5.  After you are sure you have emptied the egg, rinse it out with clean water and blow out the water.
6.  Let the egg dry overnight to be sure no water is inside.
7.  Place the egg on a paper plate or wax paper in a well ventilated area and spray entire egg with spray paint.  Let dry completely.
8.  Create your design using gorgeous Prima Say It In Crystals stickers.
9.  Show off your custom Imperial Egg!
